Contrary to recent misrepresentation, the Confederate flag has not been a symbol of Richland High School for almost 25 years. As a parent so eloquently stated, “Rebels mean choosing your own path and defining your own future.” Richland Rebels stand up for what they believe, and they accept that being different is okay.

Richland Middle School Band Named Area B Top Honor Winds Band
After having won the Region 5 Top Honor Winds Band in the first round of competition, judges unanimously selected Richland Middle School as the Area B Top Honor Winds Band. They are one of only 14 middle school bands in the state selected for this honor. Richland Middle School will now go on to compete for the title of Texas State Top Middle School Honor Winds Band in San Antonio. Congratulations to the students, parents and supporters of the Richland Middle School Band.
