This is the 38^th consecutive year the Richland High School Varsity Concert Band earned the coveted UIL Sweepstakes rating. The 2017 varsity band performed brilliantly and was recognized by all six judges as a superior performing ensemble. This is the longest active streak for any school in BISD, and one of the longest in Texas. In addition to the varsity band’s success, both the Richland High School Symphonic and Concert bands earned unanimous superior ratings at the UIL Region 31 Concert and Sight Reading Contest. These students have sacrificed much of their own personal time to attend sectionals, rehearsals, and clinics outside the school day.
