#BISDAlert: What is it?

#BISDAlert Logo

Birdville ISD created the hashtag #BISDAlert to draw attention to special messages from the District or campuses for students, staff and parents. It is used at the beginning of messages that contain important emergency, and/or urgent, information concerning the District or campus. Examples of when #BISDAlert is used include weather closings/delays, campus evacuations, campus lockdowns, etc.

This site has been created to keep BISD families, staff and students informed with important emergency and/or urgent information. #BISDAlert

Birdville ISD Announces Updated 2021 Graduation Details

Senior Class of 2021 News

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Birdville ISD has announced changes in the dates, times and locations for graduation ceremonies of the class of 2021.

Friday, May 21 – Thomas Coliseum
7:00 p.m.:  Shannon High School

Thursday, May 27 – Globe Life Field
8:00 a.m.:  Haltom High School
12:00 p.m.:  Richland High School
4:00 p.m.:  Birdville High School

These changes are being made to:

  • Address continued uncertainty of large gathering requirements and restrictions;
  • Provide opportunity to possibly increase attendance if local and state guidelines permit;
  • Maximize the number of family members, guests or attendees; and
  • Allow traveling families more time, and hopefully more affordable travel rates, by having the events take place prior to the Memorial Day weekend.
