BISD Announces Green Valley Elementary Principal

On Wednesday, May 26, Birdville ISD Superintendent Dr. Darrell Brown announced the appointment of Nathan Frymark, Ed.D., as principal of Green Valley Elementary. He is replacing Dr. Jim Calvin, who accepted a similar position in a neighboring school district.  

Frymark has been principal of O.H. Stowe Elementary since July 2019. Before joining Stowe Elementary, he was an assistant principal at Haltom Middle School from 2016–19; assistant principal at Stowe Elementary from 2015–16; assistant principal at Bowie Middle School in Irving ISD from 2013–15; dean of students at Austin Middle School in Irving ISD from 2012–13; and department chair, English as a second language teacher and Spanish teacher at Richland High School from 2008–12.  

He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and master’s and doctorate degrees from Dallas Baptist University. 

NRH Environmental Education Grant Program and Green Campus winners announced

Keep NRH BeautifulThe City of North Richland Hills’ Keep NRH Beautiful Commission recently announced their Environmental Education Grant Program and Green Campus winners.

  • 2015–16 Environmental Education Grant Program: Green Valley Elementary: Digging Into KinderGarden: North Ridge Elementary: Wild About Flowers, Bugs and Birds; Foster Village Elementary: Hydroponic Garden; and the Birdville Center of Technology and Advanced Learning (BCTAL): Bistro Solar-Powered Charging Station. (A total of $2,000 in funding will be provided for these projects.)
  • Green Campus: Birdville High School, Green Valley Elementary and North Ridge Elementary. (Each school will receive a $150 cash prize to be used towards campus maintenance or beautification.)
