The North Richland Hills Fire Education team worked with third-grade classes from each of the schools in North Richland Hills to help develop the Exit Drills In The Homes, also known as EDITH. A winner from each school was chosen and NRHFD team had the difficult task of narrowing down to the top three winners.
Congratulations to Debbie from IL Texas, Abby from Fort Worth Christian and Sterling from Green Valley!
Each student worked so hard on their designs and truly turned out incredible plans that can readily be used in their homes. If you haven’t made exit plans, now is the time! Practice the drill to make sure everyone knows their two ways out!

Recently, Birdville ISD was honored by the Northeast Tarrant Chamber of Commerce at their annual awards gala. BISD was chosen by the City of North Richland Hills to receive the Momemtum Award.
The Momentum Award is for cities to recognize the exceptional business within each Chamber partner city that excels in overall business growth, corporate contribution to the community and is recognized by their employees as a great place to work. The city noted the revitalization due to the new North Richland Middle School and the major renovation at Birdville High School, as well as other improvements throughout NRH. They also noted the positive achievements such as Smithfield Elementary being named a National Blue Ribbon School, and Smithfield Middle being named as a top performing middle school in Tarrant County. #BISDShines #WeAreBirdvilleISD
