BHS Wind Ensembles Receives Multiple Ovations

Unknown

Congratulations to the Birdville High School Wind Ensemble for their recent participation in the invitation-only National Concert Band Festival in Indianapolis hosted by Music For All. With nearly 3,000 participants, the BHS Wind Ensemble was one of only 14 bands from across the country selected as a “Featured Performer.”  The band performed a demanding hour-long concert at Butler University’s Clowes Memorial Hall for an audience that gave them multiple ovations. When the band was not performing, they were attending other bands’ concerts, as well as master classes, with leading industry professionals. Congratulations to the BHS Wind Ensemble and their directors, Mike Cheripka, Gary Barnard, Carol Meadows, and James Figueredo.
