NRH Environmental Education Grant Program and Green Campus winners announced

Keep NRH BeautifulThe City of North Richland Hills’ Keep NRH Beautiful Commission recently announced their Environmental Education Grant Program and Green Campus winners.

  • 2015–16 Environmental Education Grant Program: Green Valley Elementary: Digging Into KinderGarden: North Ridge Elementary: Wild About Flowers, Bugs and Birds; Foster Village Elementary: Hydroponic Garden; and the Birdville Center of Technology and Advanced Learning (BCTAL): Bistro Solar-Powered Charging Station. (A total of $2,000 in funding will be provided for these projects.)
  • Green Campus: Birdville High School, Green Valley Elementary and North Ridge Elementary. (Each school will receive a $150 cash prize to be used towards campus maintenance or beautification.)

Attention aspiring filmmakers – Have you ever wanted to make a short film and have your work seen on a larger scale? Now’s your chance!

The BISD Audio/Video Production department is sponsoring the First BISD Film Festival. This festival is open to all BISD students who wish to enter a short film. From documentaries to comedies, dramatic works to music videos, all genres will be accepted.

The submission deadline is April 1. The festival will be held in the BCTAL Theater from 6-8 p.m. April 16.
