Birdville ISD’s Audio/Video Production Department is proud to announce that two student films were accepted into the 2015 South by Southwest Film Festival as part of the High School Shorts program.

“Noel,” directed by Michael Morrison, Richland High School junior, tells the dramatic story of a girl who is escaping a difficult situation. > Watch video

 
“I am not a Hero,” by Murphy Studebaker, Birdville High School senior, is a piece about the significance of knowledge, creativity, and self-expression. > Watch video

These are the 22nd and 23rd entries in the department’s 10-year history of submitting films to South by Southwest, and its third and fourth festival acceptances of the year, following entries into Michigan’s Future of Cinema Festival and California’s ITSA Film Festival.
