At their regular February meeting, the Birdville ISD Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Lon J. Holbrook to the position of head football coach/athletic coordinator for Birdville High School.
Holbrook has been the offensive coordinator and a science teacher at Birdville High School since 2000. He brings with him 17 years of coaching experience. Prior to Birdville High, he was an assistant coach at Smithfield Middle School from 1998-2000.
He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas in 1998.
