BISD Superintendent, Dr. Gayle Stinson, announced on Thursday, April 7, the appointment of Anthony S. Holman to the position of head basketball coach for Birdville High School. He is replacing Jeff Fitch who is retiring at the end of the 2021–22 school year.
Holman has been the assistant varsity coach at Birdville High School since 2012 where he also teaches professional communications and health. Before Birdville High, Holman was a teacher and coach at Smithfield Middle School from 2006–12 and was the athletic coordinator on the campus from 2009–12.
He has many achievements as a basketball coach and player.

- #14 All-Time leading scorer at Austin College (1,059 pts.)

Holman received his bachelor’s degree from Austin College and master’s degree from Lamar University.
