GATE Curriculum Night for parents of currently identified GATE students in grades 1–6
The District will provide an overview of the GATE curriculum for GT students in grades 1–6. The presentation will include an overview of the curriculum units, universal concepts, generalizations for each grade level, and the dispositions, which will be emphasized in each grade level. Congratulations to Elizabeth Cumbie, Watauga Middle School social studies teacher, for being named the Texas Council for the Social Studies’ (TCSS) Betty Barringer Middle School Teacher of the Year. She will be honored at an awards luncheon Oct. 15 at the TCSS fall conference in Corpus Christi.
