Trustees Approve Two Administrative Appointments

At their regular meeting, Birdville ISD’s Board of Trustees approved the administrative appointments of Dave Lambson as executive director of technology and Lisa Collett Walker as principal of Holiday Heights Elementary School. Lambson is replacing Randy Sumrall, who is retiring at the end of the 2017–18 school year; and Walker is replacing Mike Dukes, who is also retiring at the end of the school year.

 

Dave Lambson has been director of technical services with BISD since 2013. Prior to Birdville, he was an enterprise solutions architect at Brigham Young University–Idaho from 2010–13; director of application development and maintenance at Katy ISD from 2006–10; lead developer at Xpediant Educational Solutions from 2002–06; and a web application developer at ExpressTimeSheets, Inc. from 2000–02.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and master’s degree from the University of North Texas.

 

 

 

Lisa Walker has been an assistant principal at Old Union Elementary School in Carroll ISD since 2012. Prior to Carroll, she was an assistant principal at Pflugerville ISD from 2007–11; assistant principal at Elgin ISD from 2006–07; instructional specialist at Elgin ISD from 2005–06; and fifth-grade teacher at Pflugerville ISD from 1997–2005.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and master’s degree from the University of Mary Hardin–Baylor

BISD Students Shine at Junior Livestock Show

 

Agriculture Science students from the Birdville Center of Technology and Advanced Learning (BCTAL) recently competed in the 2018 Tarrant County Junior Livestock Show. The results were: (Only market animals make the sale.)
