Hey Birdville ISD Community!

We’ve heard your feedback loud and clear about the new Student Information System, FOCUS! We get it, there have been some questions and frustrations. But guess what? We’re ON it! We’re working to answer all those Frequently Asked Questions and to help make this transition better! #ImprovementInProgress

Here are two questions we can answer today:

How do I get my student’s ID number?
Your child’s student number is the same as their lunch number. If they do not remember that number, please contact your child’s campus. They need to verify your identity before releasing your child’s student ID number to you.

Why do I have to re-register my child after registering them in May or June before the Skyward cutoff date?
Although Focus does say “Register your student”, if you registered your child(ren) in Skyward in May or June, parents are only being asked to verify that the information in Focus is correct. There may be a few fields where parents will have to submit updated information. There will also be required forms that must be completed each year.
