Stage West Announces Neighborhood Play Contest Winners

Fort Worth’s Stage West Theatre recently announced winners of their Neighborhood Play Contest which included several student playwrights from BISD. The winning plays, selected from more than 450 entries, will be produced in Stage West’s Festival of the Kid May 11–13 in their studio theatre.  Congratulations to these BISD students and their winning plays:

RHS Band: Garage Sale Donations Needed

Richland High School’s band is hosting a garage sale on March 21 as part of their Spring Swing event.

Garage sale donation drop-off is from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31 at the far end of the FAAC parking lot – at Big Blue, Richland Band’s semitrailer. Help us fill it up!

Spring Swing is an annual event and is the band’s largest fundraiser.

March 21 will kick off at the FAAC with the Biggest Car Show NRH has ever seen and a 200+ family garage sale beginning at 8 a.m. culminating with the evening festivities beginning at 6 p.m. The evening will include dinner, live entertainment, a silent auction of hundreds of items, and a LIVE auction intermittent throughout the evening.

The auctions will include a vast variety of items such as dining/gift certificates, local event tickets, hunting trips, art, furniture, tools, services, baskets, autographed sports memorabilia, just to mention a few. Admission is FREE.

Congratulations to BISD’s high school singers who competed at the Region 5 choir auditions.

Congratulations to BISD’s high school singers who competed at the Region 5 choir auditions. Nearly two-thirds of the 133 competing singers were selected for the 9th/10th-grade Honor Choir, All-District Choir, or All-Region Choir. Thirty-five singers earned the honor of advancing to the third round of All-State Choir auditions on Nov. 22.
