Congratulations to the Richland High School Rebellaires on their recent success at the American Classics Madrigal and Chamber Choir Festival in San Antonio. In addition to scoring all superior ratings, the Rebellaires were awarded a “Performance of Distinction” award. Because of this award, the Rebellaires will be featured on The Best of The American Classics Madrigal and Chamber Choir Festival CD (Vol. 5), which will be sold nationally late this spring.

Birdville and Richland High Schools’ Bowling Teams Advanced to Regional
Birdville and Richland high schools’ bowling teams have advanced to regional play in Amarillo on March 1. Clayton Heinold, Richland High bowler, rolled a perfect 300 game in competition recently. He finished the season leading the district with a 229 average. Heinold is the only BISD bowler to advance in singles to regionals. Richland’s team members are: Katie Weiss, Nolan Johnson, Chase Shortt, Matt Haas, Parker McDonald, Mitchell Heinold, Travis Guynn and Clayton Heinold. Richland’s bowling coach is David Bowman. Birdville’s team members are: Jaden Sims, Larry Holland, Sarah Young, Christian Miller, Sean Crazier, Logan Perrin and Austin Perrin. Birdville’s bowling coach is Mike Miller.
BISD High School Artists Success at Regional VASE
Congratulations to the BISD high school artists who recently competed in the regional level of the Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE).
