Congratulations to the following BISD middle school band students for being selected for one of the Region 5 All-Region bands.  More than 500 students from Birdville, Mansfield, and Arlington school districts competed in the event. Almost 60 percent of this year’s middle school region band members are from Birdville schools. Congratulations to BISD middle school band students who recently competed in the All Birdville Middle School Band auditions. There were 117 students selected. The band will perform a concert at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15 in the Haltom High School auditorium. Admission is free. All Birdville Middle School Band embers are:

2012 Recycle More School Art Contest

Congratulations to winners of the 2012 Recycle More School Art Contest sponsored by Keep NRH Beautiful. The bookmarks will be printed and delivered to the classes of the students who won the design contest.  The bags will also be printed with the winning design and winners’ name on one side and the runners up names listed on the other side.  The bags will be distributed to the teacher and class of the winning student and to the runners up and their teachers.
