Collegiate Academy of Birdville (CAB) Applications Now Open

Collegiate Academy of Birdville

Students at the Collegiate Academy of Birdville (CAB) have the opportunity to earn an associate degree from Tarrant County College while they earn their high school diploma at Haltom High School. Students can still choose to participate in band, athletics, theater, choir, or other extracurricular activities while enrolled in the program. This is an opportunity to earn a two-year degree at no additional expense to your family! 

If your student is interested in accepting the challenge of the Collegiate Academy of Birdville, please fill out the application at this link: https://forms.gle/vwWVsV4Uje7RJAmg7  The email address provided on the application will be our primary means of communication with applicants. The application for the CAB’s Class of 2026 closes at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 18. 

Applicants will also need to attend one of our Parent/Student Information nights either in person or via Zoom:

The positions for next year’s freshman class will be filled through a weighted lottery to be held in early March, and students will be informed of their selection after Spring Break.

The Collegiate Academy of Birdville is accepting applications from current 8th grade students for admission to the program beginning in the 2021–2022 school year. The Academy is a four-year program that allows students to earn an Associate Degree while earning their high school diploma.

The Collegiate Academy of Birdville (CAB) is having informational presentations for eighth-grade students and parents interested in the program beginning with the 2020–21 school year. The CAB offers students the opportunity to earn an associate degree while completing requirements for their high school diploma. To find out more, join us at one of the following presentations:

  • Richland Middle: Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. at Richland Middle (Library)
  • North Oaks Middle:  Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 5:30 p.m. at North Oaks Middle (Library)
  • Smithfield Middle: Thursday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. at Birdville High
  • Haltom Middle:  Monday, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. at Haltom Middle (Library)
  • North Richland Middle:  Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. at Richland High

Collegiate Academy of Birdville Parent Information Meeting

The Collegiate Academy of Birdville (CAB) offers students the opportunity to earn both a high school diploma and an associate of arts degree from Tarrant County College during their four years of high school. Current eighth-grade students are eligible to apply for the inaugural 2019–20 freshmen class. CAB is hosting a Parent Information Night at Haltom High School on Monday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. for anyone interested in learning more about the school and the application process.
