The Foundation for Music Education is dedicated to the support and advancement of music education and provides several awards each year.
The Mark of Excellence project acknowledges and celebrates remarkable accomplishments in the field of music. This esteemed competition, open to high school and middle school bands, choirs, and orchestras across the United States, not only recognizes the talents of these ensembles but also provides invaluable feedback to all participants. The top 25% entrants earn the title of National Winner, while the second 25% earn the recognition as Commended Winners.
The Citation of Excellence celebrates outstanding performance achievements in non-varsity high school and middle school bands and orchestras. By fostering a unique competitive environment, this project allows ensembles to measure their performance quality against other exceptional non-varsity groups. The top 25% of entrants are celebrated as Citation Winners, while the second 25% earn recognition as Commended Winners.
Help us congratulate our fantastic students and staff of this incredible accomplishment!
