Open Enrollment for 15-16 school year
BISD will accept Open Enrollment applications for the 15-16 school year April 1-30. This is the only opportunity to apply for open enrollment for 15-16 school year.

Congratulations to Jennifer Strawn, Richland High School student, for being selected as Dale Hansen’s Scholar Athlete of the Week. She will be recognized on WFAA channel 8 at 10:35 p.m. April 19.

Attention aspiring filmmakers – Have you ever wanted to make a short film and have your work seen on a larger scale? Now’s your chance!
The BISD Audio/Video Production department is sponsoring the First BISD Film Festival. This festival is open to all BISD students who wish to enter a short film. From documentaries to comedies, dramatic works to music videos, all genres will be accepted.
The submission deadline is April 1. The festival will be held in the BCTAL Theater from 6-8 p.m. April 16.

Richland Elementary Fourth Graders Travel to Waco and Austin on an Education in Action Discover Texas Field Trip
Fourth graders from Birdville ISD’s Richland Elementary traveled to Waco and Austin on an Education in Action Discover Texas Field Trip February 19th to experience what they are learning in fourth grade Texas History. Students visited the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum, the Texas State Capitol, and the Bullock Texas State History Museum.
