2011 Texas Association of Bilingual Education Teacher of the Year Stepfanie Romero, second-grade bilingual teacher at Watauga Elementary, has been selected as the 2011 Texas Association of Bilingual Education (TABE) Teacher of the Year. She is being recognizedfor her dedication to the needs of second language learners and for her outstanding leadership. TABE believes Romero’s professionalism and expertise in the area of bilingual education will serve as excellent qualifications to compete in the NABE Teacher of the Year selection.
