BHS principal named lone finalist for Bluff Dale ISD superintendent

On March 23, the Bluff Dale ISD Board of Trustees approved the selection of Jason Wells as the lone finalist for superintendent of schools. After a mandatory 21-day waiting period, the Bluff Dale ISD Board will name Wells as superintendent of schools.

Wells has been the principal at Birdville High School since 2008. Before serving as principal, he served two years as assistant principal at Birdville High, two years as assistant principal of North Ridge Middle School, and two years as a math teacher at North Richland Middle School. In addition to his educational experience in BISD, Wells taught and coached in Fort Worth ISD and Lampasas ISD.

“We congratulate Jason and thank him for the 21 years of service to the students, parents, staff, and community of BISD,” Superintendent Dr. Gayle Stinson said. “He is a phenomenal leader and Bluff Dale ISD made an excellent choice in Mr. Wells. I wish him well in this new chapter of his career.”

Wells will continue in his role at Birdville High through the end of May. The District will begin the search for a new campus leader during this time.
