Annual Highly Qualified Teacher Report

The United States Congress passed the No Child Left Behind Act in 2001. This act requires all local education agencies to ensure that all teachers teaching in core academic subjects within each state to be highly qualified no later than the end of the 2005-2006 academic school year. The act is still in effect and reports are completed annually.

The Highly Qualified Teacher state reports are available on the Texas Education Agency NCLB website at http://burleson.tea.state.tx.us/ReportInterface and on the Accountability and Testing webpage located on the Birdville ISD website at http://schools.birdvilleschools.net/cms/lib2/TX01000797/Centricity/Domain/3979/BISD_HQ_Report_2013-2014.pdf.

All Birdville ISD core course academic teachers, including English/Language Arts, Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Fine Arts, were 100% highly qualified as of the snapshot date of September 16, 2013. As required, the district report was certified and submitted to TEA on November 14, 2013.”
