Congratulations to BISD’s high school singers for placing in the top chairs in their voice part during the third-round auditions for the 2015 Texas All State Choir. These students will compete one final time in January in hopes of being selected as an All State choir member.

Birdville and Haltom high schools, and North Richland, Richland and Watauga middle schools were the recipient of The Meadows Foundation “Charitable School Award” for the 2014-15 school year. Designated teacher sponsors from each campus will receive $500 to engage their students in leadership roles and volunteer opportunities within their respective communities.
The Charitable School Award encourages youth volunteerism by middle and high school students; increases students’ knowledge of their community’s needs, and develops leadership and volunteer skills among students to meet those needs.
Now that the bond has passed, the Board and Administration have begun the complex process of developing a timeline for completing all aspects of the projects included in the bond referendum. This timeline will be published on our website as soon as it has been completed. Progress reports will also be posted regularly online.
Network maintenance at BISD’s website provider will take place from 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16. There will be a complete interruption of website service during the first 12 hours and potential intermittent interruption during the remaining 12 hours. All maintenance is expected to be completed by 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16 and full services restored.
Any changes to the scheduled outage will be posted on the district’s Facebook and Twitter feeds.
