Birdville High School Girls Soccer Team Named 2014‒15 NSCAA High School Team Academic Award Recipient
The Birdville High School Girls Team was recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) with the 2014‒15 High School Team Academic Award.
The NSCAA annually recognizes high school soccer programs that have excelled in the classroom, in addition to their performance on the field.
The Lady Hawks Soccer Team was one of 398 teams (150 boys, 248 girls) nationwide recognized for exemplary performance in the classroom as a team during the 2014‒15 academic year. Among these programs are 51 schools receiving honors for both their boys and girls teams.
Francisco Elementary Starts Kindness Project
Francisco Elementary’s students and staff recently started a kindness project where they donated goodies to provide a hospitality table for the Haltom City police and fire stations and City Hall. Kindness is one of BISD’s Community of Respect Everywhere (C.O.R.E.) values.
North Ridge Middle School Community Service Project
The students and staff at North Ridge Middle School just finished their 3rd annual community service Christmas drive. Students collected new and gently used baby items that will be donated to Teen Lifeline through www.lifelivedbetter.org. Thank you, Wildcats, for giving back to our community and helping others in need this holiday season.
Thursday, Dec. 17 and Friday, Dec.18 Early Release Times
BISD students will attend school for a half day Thursday, Dec. 17 and Friday, Dec.18. High school students will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m., elementary students at 12:30 p.m., and middle school students at 1:25 p.m. Prekindergarten and PPCD a.m. students will attend from 8:10–10:10 a.m., and p.m. students will attend from
10:10 a.m. – 12:10 p.m.
