Twelve Elementary Schools and Four Middle Schools Recognized by U.S. News & World Report
Birdville ISD is proud to announce that 12 BISD elementary schools and four BISD middle schools have been recognized in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2023–24 Best Schools rankings. These schools have demonstrated exceptional educational quality, earning their place among the best U.S. elementary and middle schools at both the state and national levels. The distinction of being ranked amidst the Best Public Schools reflects the commitment to academic excellence in the education of all students of these high-achieving schools.
U.S. News & World Report thoroughly evaluated public schools across all 50 states and the District of Columbia for the 2023–2024 Best Schools rankings, an exhaustive process encompassing 45,236 eligible public elementary schools and 22,053 public middle schools.
Congratulations are extended to Foster Village, Green Valley, Hardeman, North Ridge, Porter, Smith, Smithfield, Snow Heights, Spicer, Stowe, Academy at C.F. Thomas and Walker Creek elementary schools; and Haltom, North Ridge, Richland and Smithfield middle schools, for achieving this remarkable distinction. Congratulations Birdville High School
Congratulations to Birdville High School for earning the 2023 AP School Honor Roll Silver and AP Access Awards. Of the 15,150 eligible schools, 4,570 schools (30%) earned a place on the 2023 AP Honor Roll. Only nine percent of the all eligible schools in the US and Canada earned a Silver Award, with 39% of schools on the Honor Roll earning the AP Access Award.

For the first time in Birdville ISD History, all three of our high schools bands advanced to the UIL State Marching Competition.
