Prekindergarten Registration

BISD will register all eligible prekindergarten students from 7:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. July 26 and 27 and Aug. 1 at Thomas Coliseum. Thomas Coliseum is located at 6108 Broadway Avenue in Haltom City. Eligibility requirements and required documents needed to register are available at www.birdvilleschools.net. In addition, the website has specific registration times and date information for each campus. Students must be three or four on or before Sept. 1 to meet the age requiement. BISD announces new starting/ending times beginning 2011-12 school year

2011-11 Start/End Times

2011-12 Start/End Times

Prekindergarten
(AM) 8:10 a.m. – 11:10 a.m.
(PM) 12:25 – 3:25 p.m.

Elementary (K-5)
8:10 a.m. – 3:25 p.m.

Middle School (6-8)
8:40 a.m. – 3:50 p.m.

High School (9-12)
7:30 a.m. – 2:40 p.m.

“After much discussion with community members, board members and staff, we feel this is the best decision for the students of BISD,” said Interim Superintendent Jay Thompson. “I don’t like having to change bell schedules two years in a row, but based on what we learned this year, this is better for our students.”
