2024 Gold Seal artworks

Birdville ISD had five students’ artwork on display in Arlington ISD’s Performing Art Center Art as part of the Gallery 2024 Gold Seal artworks. Each year, the District looks forward to celebrating our high school art students whose artworks advance to the state-level VASE (Visual Art Scholastic Event) competition. VASE bestows a final “Gold Seal” award to approximately 160 of the best artworks receiving a superior rating.

Lone Star Leadership Academy

Each year, the Birdville ISD Gifted and Talented Education program nominates students from the fourth grade for the opportunity to attend a summer camp, Lone Star Leadership Academy. Education in Action offers this camp in Action, a nonprofit organization that empowers young people to be informed and active community leaders. Our student nominees display strong leadership, collaboration skills, and academic excellence characteristics. Three students from BISD attended the 2024 summer academy during various weekly offerings. They are: Ian Gonzalez, Smithfield Elementary fifth-grader; Payton Calvin, Thomas Elementary fifth grader; and Parker Haussecker, Walker Creek Elementary fifth grader, all attended.
