Birdville ISD Families,
On Tuesday, voters in Birdville ISD rejected Proposition A, a $48 million bond package to construct three multipurpose indoor facilities. This is disappointing news for all Birdville ISD students.
The BISD School Board will canvass the election results on Tuesday, Nov. 19. According to unofficial results, the breakdown of votes For and Against Bond Proposition A was as follows:
Voting Method | For | Against |
Early Voting | 19,770 (46.82%) | 22,452 (53.18%) |
Absentee | 567 (44.3%) | 713 (55.7%) |
Election Day | 5,004 (49.89%) | 5,027 (50.11%) |
Total | 25,341(47.34%) | 28,192 (52.66%) |
While I know many of you will be disappointed with this outcome, we do appreciate each and every one of you who took the time to learn about the bond proposal and vote.
Sincerely,
Gayle Stinson, Ed.D.
Birdville ISD Superintendent

Birdville ISD had five students’ artwork on display in Arlington ISD’s Performing Art Center Art as part of the Gallery 2024 Gold Seal artworks. Each year, the District looks forward to celebrating our high school art students whose artworks advance to the state-level VASE (Visual Art Scholastic Event) competition. VASE bestows a final “Gold Seal” award to approximately 160 of the best artworks receiving a superior rating.

Each year, the Birdville ISD Gifted and Talented Education program nominates students from the fourth grade for the opportunity to attend a summer camp, Lone Star Leadership Academy. Education in Action offers this camp in Action, a nonprofit organization that empowers young people to be informed and active community leaders. Our student nominees display strong leadership, collaboration skills, and academic excellence characteristics. Three students from BISD attended the 2024 summer academy during various weekly offerings. They are: Ian Gonzalez, Smithfield Elementary fifth-grader; Payton Calvin, Thomas Elementary fifth grader; and Parker Haussecker, Walker Creek Elementary fifth grader, all attended.
