{"id":8046,"date":"2021-03-12T15:11:49","date_gmt":"2021-03-12T21:11:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.birdvilleschools.net\/district\/wordpress\/?p=8046"},"modified":"2021-03-12T15:16:53","modified_gmt":"2021-03-12T21:16:53","slug":"important-message-concerning-face-to-face-attendance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.birdvilleschools.net\/district\/wordpress\/important-message-concerning-face-to-face-attendance\/","title":{"rendered":"Important Message Concerning Face-to-Face Attendance"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Changes\u00a0Effective\u00a0on:<\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em> <br><strong><em>March 9, 2021<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0for<em>\u00a0<\/em><strong><em>Secondary<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em>students\u00a0<br><strong><em>April\u00a012, 2021<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0for<em>\u00a0<\/em><strong><em>Elementary<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0<\/em>students\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who are enrolled as face-to-face learners in Birdville ISD will follow the attendance guidelines and procedures listed in the Elementary and Secondary Student handbooks.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.birdvilleschools.net\/cms\/lib\/TX01000797\/Centricity\/Domain\/4337\/ElemHandbook2020-2021_ADA.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Elementary Student Handbook<\/a>&nbsp;(See page 27)&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.birdvilleschools.net\/cms\/lib\/TX01000797\/Centricity\/Domain\/4337\/SecondaryHandbook2020-2021_ADA.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Secondary Student Handbook<\/a>&nbsp;(See pages 18\u201321)&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This change returns face-to-face learners to the traditional&nbsp;Attendance for Credit procedures, as well as to the excused and unexcused absence criteria. Make-up work may be assigned to students through a variety of means including, but not limited to:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Canvas,\u00a0<\/li><li>Seesaw,\u00a0<\/li><li>Other virtual platforms, or\u00a0<\/li><li>Paper\/hard copies.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Completion of&nbsp;make-up&nbsp;work&nbsp;does not change attendance&nbsp;status&nbsp;(excused or unexcused).
