BISD gathers multiple measures during the screening process\u00a0that\u00a0include standardized testing and input on observed gifted behaviors from parents and classroom teachers. Additional data\u00a0may be collected and considered for individual students as requested by the GATE Placement Committee. Screening\u00a0will be conducted\u00a0during the months of February\u2013March 2021. If your child is receiving face-to-face instruction on campus during that time, then he\/she will complete the screening process at school. If your child is learning remotely during that time, you\u00a0will be contacted\u00a0by the GATE\u00a0Department to make an appointment to come to a designated location for screening during the month of February.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To refer your child for screening for GATE services, complete the online GATE Parent Referral\/Rating Form by\u00a0<strong>Friday,\u00a0January 29, 2021.<\/strong>\u00a0This form is located at\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.birdvilleschools.net\/Page\/55391\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.birdvilleschools.net\/Page\/55391<\/a>.
