Beginning Monday, March 23, BISD is adding two additional feeding stations to help families during this unprecedented time in our country. The Academy at C. F. Thomas and North Ridge Middle will open Monday\u2013Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. FREE meals will be offered to ALL students through curbside pickup. Also, BISD will continue providing pickup stations in front of Birdville Elementary, Binion Elementary, West Birdville Elementary, and Watauga Elementary from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.<\/strong> for anyone age 18 and under. Lunch will be provided Monday\u2013Friday throughout the closure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Community Enrichment Center (CEC) and Tarrant Area Food Bank to provide groceries for families<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beginning Thursday, March 19<\/strong>, the Community Enrichment Center and Tarrant Area Food Bank will provide groceries to families at various BISD feeding stations. Groceries will be distributed at the same time meals are being distributed by BISD. Groceries will be distributed on the following schedule:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thursday, March 19:<\/strong>  West Birdville Elementary<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friday, March 20:<\/strong>  Birdville Elementary<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting the week of March 23:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7       Binion Elementary \u2013 Mondays<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7       Watauga Elementary \u2013 Tuesdays<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7       Academy at C.F. Thomas \u2013 Wednesdays<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7       West Birdville Elementary \u2013 Thursdays<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7       Birdville Elementary \u2013 Fridays<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four to six volunteers are needed each day to help families complete a short questionnaire and load groceries in vehicles. Children, individuals over age 60, and individuals with underlying health conditions should not<\/strong> volunteer. Individuals should be prepared to follow safety precautions as directed by the CDC. Once details on how to volunteer are finalized with the CEC, they will be posted on this site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Se necesitan de cuatro a seis voluntarios cada d\u00eda para ayudar a las familias a completar un breve cuestionario y cargar alimentos en los veh\u00edculos. Los ni\u00f1os, las personas mayores de 60 a\u00f1os y las personas con enfermedades pre-existentes no<\/strong> deben ser voluntarios.
