Around 90 of the finest 5A wind ensembles across the state submitted recordings of their ensembles to be reviewed and adjudicated through the Texas Music Educators Association Honor Band Process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">There are three major evaluations in the process. First, each group was heard and ranked by a panel of five judges at the Region round with RHS being one of the two ensembles that advanced to the next (Area) round. In late June, a separate panel evaluated eight bands (two groups from four different regions) and selected RHS as one of two groups to advance to the final (state) round of competition.
