With the onset of winter, and the threat of snow and ice, it is important for the BISD community to know the district has an established plan to determine whether schools will be open, delayed or closed. The district attempts to make a decision about delaying or closing as soon as possible, usually by 5:30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>If the superintendent determines to delay or close school, the district\u2019s phone calling system will be activated and the major radio and television stations will be notified. Also, the district will post this information on the district\u2019s website, Facebook, Twitter, B-News, and the District\u2019s main voicemail at 817-547-5700.
