Third-grade students from Birdville Elementary<\/strong> are going on a field trip to the Legoland Discovery Center\u2013Grapevine on Tuesday,\u00a0Nov. 8. (This will be Patriotic Day and students are encouraged to wear red, white and blue.)<\/p>\n

As part of their National Picture Book Month activities, Mullendore Elementary <\/strong>students will have a Crazy Hair Day on Wednesday, Nov. 9 to honor the book Stephanie\u2019s Ponytail<\/em> by Robert Munsch.<\/p>\n

Binion Elementary\u2019s <\/strong>PTA meeting is Thursday, Nov. 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Fifth-grade students will present a Veterans Day program.<\/p>\n

Haltom Middle School <\/strong>is offering an information and resources session for parents of English Language Learner (ELL) students on Thursday, Nov. 10, 6-7:30 p.m. Topics will cover counseling and community services, literacy support for parents, health and medical resources, along with other school services and support. North Ridge Elementary\u2019s<\/strong> picture make-up day is Thursday, Nov. 10.<\/p>\n

Walker Creek Elementary<\/strong> will celebrate Grandparents Day on Thursday, Nov. 10.\u00a0A traditional Thanksgiving lunch will be provided by the Child Nutrition department. Student lunch is $2.60 and adult lunch is $3.50.\u00a0Parking is very limited.\u00a0A shuttle bus will provide continuous service\u00a0between Walker Creek and the west parking lot at Birdville High School from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Walker Creek Elementary\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0third-grade students will perform \u201cWe Sing for Our Veterans\u201d\u00a0on Thursday, Nov.\u00a010 at 6:30\u00a0p.m. Walker Creek families, the community and all veterans are welcome to attend.<\/p>\n

Fifth-grade students at West Birdville Elementary<\/strong> will present the program \u201cAn American Tribute\u201d on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria.<\/p>\n

Hardeman Elementary\u2019s<\/strong> fifth-grade Veterans Day program is on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

Birdville Elementary\u2019s<\/strong> PTA meeting and Title 1 presentation begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10 in the auditorium at Birdville Baptist Church. Second- and third-grade students will perform a patriotic program.<\/p>\n

Birdville Elementary\u2019s<\/strong> Veterans\/Heroes Day is Friday, Nov. 11.\u00a0Everyone is encouraged to wear stars and stripes. Fifth-grade students will also be going on a field trip to TCU.<\/p>\n

Walker Creek Elementary\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0annual Coyote Moon Dance is Friday, Nov. 11.\u00a0Students are encouraged to wear glow-in-the-dark attire and accessories.\u00a0 No Halloween costumes, please.<\/p>\n

Mullendore Elementary\u2019s<\/strong> \u201cLlama Llama Pajama\u201d book day is Friday, Nov. 11. Students are encouraged to wear pajamas and bring flashlights to read in the dark.<\/p>\n

Green Valley Elementary\u2019s <\/strong>Gator Greats Breakfast is Friday, Nov. 11 at 7:35 a.m. in the library.<\/p>\n

Binion Elementary\u2019s<\/strong> Veterans Day Breakfast is Friday, Nov. 11 at 8 a.m. in the cafeteria. Fifth-grade students will sing for the veterans attending the breakfast.<\/p>\n

Cheney Elementary<\/strong> students and staff are encouraged to wear red, white and blue on Friday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day.<\/p>\n
