As part of the process, each state is required to establish a strategic vision for public education and develop an overall plan to achieve those goals.<\/span><span class=\"s2\"><\/p>\n<p><\/span><span class=\"s1\">TEA is the lead agency developing the Texas state plan which must determine how the new federal law will affect accountability, funding, school improvement, and grant-making systems. Commissioner Morath noted that input regarding ESSA implementation coincides with work on a state strategic plan for education that had already been underway.<\/span><span class=\"s2\"><\/p>\n<p><\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThe passage of ESSA has created a unique opportunity to inform Texas\u2019 education policy,\u201d said Commissioner Morath. \u201cHowever, we need input from all parts of our state to ensure that, under ESSA, all students in Texas can receive a high-quality education that prepares them for the future.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The online ESSA survey, which will take less than ten minutes to complete, is available at <a href=\"http:\/\/links.govdelivery.com\/track?type=click&amp;enid=ZWFzPTEmbXNpZD0mYXVpZD0mbWFpbGluZ2lkPTIwMTYxMDIwLjY1Mjg2NTUxJm1lc3NhZ2VpZD1NREItUFJELUJVTC0yMDE2MTAyMC42NTI4NjU1MSZkYXRhYmFzZWlkPTEwMDEmc2VyaWFsPTE2ODI3ODI1JmVtYWlsaWQ9YnJlbmRhLnJ5YW5AYmlyZHZpbGxlc2Nob29scy5uZXQmdXNlcmlkPWJyZW5kYS5yeWFuQGJpcmR2aWxsZXNjaG9vbHMubmV0JnRhcmdldGlkPSZmbD0mbXZpZD0mZXh0cmE9JiYm&amp;&amp;&amp;101&amp;&amp;&amp;http:\/\/www.surveygizmo.com\/s3\/3003630\/ESSA-Public-Input-Survey\"><span class=\"s3\">http:\/\/www.surveygizmo.com\/s3\/3003630\/ESSA-Public-Input-Survey<\/span><\/a>. The online survey provides an opportunity for anyone to share views on how the state should implement provisions of ESSA.
