On Monday, April 28, Birdville ISD Superintendent Dr. Gayle Stinson announced the appointments of A.\u202fElizabeth \u201cLiz\u201d Pe\u00f1a as principal at North Richland Middle. Pe\u00f1a is replacing Sherri Gamble, who is retiring at the end of the school year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pe\u00f1a has been principal at Griggs High School (formerly Shannon High School) since 2023. Prior to Griggs High, she was an academic dean at Haltom High for the 2022\u201323 school year, assistant principal at Haltom High from 2013\u201322, and District secondary summer school director from 2016\u201322. Pe\u00f1a also served as the Haltom Middle School English department chair from 2012\u201313, Special Education department chair from 2008\u201312, and Pre-AP\/Inclusion and English\/ELAR teacher from 2006\u201312. Before that Pe\u00f1a was a Content Mastery Center teacher at Arnold Middle School in Grand Prairie ISD from 1999\u20132006; and a behavior interventionist from  
1998\u201399 at Jefferson High School in El Paso ISD. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pe\u00f1a earned her bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s degrees from Dallas Baptist University. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
