It also gives&nbsp;teachers the opportunity to assess each student and to effectively plan ahead.&nbsp;Excessive absences can lead to students missing out on important information&nbsp;or falling behind in their studies. Regular school attendance is an important&nbsp;indicator of your child\u2019s performance and success as they grow into adulthood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Simply put, absences add up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Did you Know&#8230;?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the 2022-2023 school year, Birdville ISD&#8217;s attendance rate was 93.8%.&nbsp;That means about 1,360 kids missed school each day. Because each&nbsp;absence costs $38 in state funding, the district lost about $51,700 a day&nbsp;or an estimated $9 million due to these absences.
