BISD Girls Advance to UIL Playoffs

Congratulations to the girls basketball teams from Richland and Birdville high schools for advancing to the UIL playoffs.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students.

Passes Accepted:  TABC, THSCA, District Administrator Passes

 

Tuesday, Feb. 13

Doubleheader at Thomas Coliseum

Birdville HS vs. Arlington Heights HS at 6:30 p.m.

Arlington Lamar HS vs. Timber Creek HS at 8 p.m.

Birdville High School Swim Team Wins District Championship

Congratulations to the Birdville High School swim team for winning the District championship. Both the boys and girls teams won first place.

 

The Birdville High School swim team won a total of 49 medals at the district meet.

 

Coach Michael Teague was named Coach of the Meet for the second year in a row.

Birdville High School deaf/hard of hearing Academic Bowl team advances to regionals

Birdville High School’s first deaf/hard of hearing Academic Bowl team has advanced to regional competition in Gallaudet’s Youth Programs Academic Bowl. This is the first year that BHS has attempted to join this competition. Team members are Lizeth Gonzalez, Amy Nguyen, Rylee Jankowski and Janessa Gonzalez. Christine Gaston and Amelia Duke are the teachers/coaches. The competition will be in Knoxville, Tennessee Feb 2225. If the students advance, they have the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. for the final competition.
